No Man Is An Island
Opening titles at the end
No Man Is An Island is an award winning short movie by Ali Parandian. Going directly into to the movie, the titles first appear at the end. The design solution discusses groupings by allowing the names of the cast and the crew to remain on the screen, to slowly become a group or an island.
“The winner is a brave and ambitious film that doesn’t shy away from big existential and political questions. […] A surprisingly fresh film about friendship, belonging and prejudice, and an impressively confident start for its filmmaker.”
– Bergen International Film Festival
“The title sequence for No Man Is An Island is an original, bold and unique solution. It breaks with the traditional format for end credits and feels fresh and modern. The minimalist typography and carefully executed transitions make added sense that plays on the film’s title and theme. Brave work!”
